New Decks from Temporal Forces

And Other Decks Worth Considering After Rotation

Set List | Card Translations | Visual Set List | Selected Proxies | New Decks

With the arrival of Temporal Forces in March, we’ll have a handful of new deck joining the fray—and with rotation, the meta will be shaken up quite thoroughly. As always, some decks are better than others—some are meme tier and some are merely playable, fun decks without much competitive promise. Lists below are very rough drafts and are intended as a starting place for testing, not as tournament-ready deck lists. Consider creating and using proxies to test cards you don’t already own prior to making any purchases.

Below is a list of archetypes that may be reasonably playable after this year’s rotation—decks from competitive standouts to enjoyable casual archetypes are listed below.

Prioritize getting two Archeops into play using Lugia’s Summoning Star VSTAR Power, which puts two Colorless Pokémon from your discard pile directly onto your bench. Use Archeops’ Primal Turbo Ability and manual attachments to power up Lugia VSTAR’s Tempest Dive attack, which does 220 damage and grants you the option to discard a Stadium card in play. Alternatively, go in with the attacks of the deck’s attackers, like Snorlax and Cinccino.

KEY CARDS

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

  • PokéStop combined with Ciphermaniac’s Codebreaking to manipulate the top of your deck with Archeops that would then be discarded by PokéStop.

  • Serena for an additional discarding option that also serves as a gusting option.
